As part of this year’s Nartan Festival, we are very lucky to be hosting a day of workshops by Dilini Seneviratne, performer of traditional Sri Lankan Kandyan Dance. The style has its own rules, theories and techniques, which Dilini will introduce in each workshop.
Dilini is the founder of the Kandyan Dancers Company, based in London and specialising in all styles of Sri Lankan dance. The company dancers have been providing curated Sri Lankan dance performances across the UK for over a decade, through event entertainment, education via classes and workshops and an annual dance showcase each Summer, NARTHANA, representing Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan performing arts.
