About

The core purpose of our project is to bring different communities together and hence we have incorporated this theme throughout the whole project. From the planning stages, all the way to delivery, the idea is to integrate communities, and therefore the people at each stage will also be of different cultures and backgrounds.

Also, by engaging young people in such activities we are deterring them from anti-social behaviour and providing them with an opportunity to participate in a healthy, useful and valuable activity.

Dance Residencies

The Evolve project is a talent development programme for up and coming dancers aged between 18 and 30 years.

NAYA is offering 3 residencies to selected dancers involving FREE training and bursaries with Bharatanatyam artist Seeta Patel, Bhagya Lakshmi Tyagrajan and Kuchipudi artist Arunima Kumar. Funded by Arts Council England and supported by Curve Theatre.

Aspire

This project is funded by Awards for All

Aspire is a new approach to learning aimed at young people aged 14 to 24 years old. Young people from areas of deprivation will be recruited to participate in a skill development programme. They will receive free training, via workshops and will then have the opportunity to put those skills to the test by organising, managing, delivering and evaluating an awards ceremony. This project aims to help young people to plan and manage their own project, learn to work in a team, develop decision making skills and understanding different aspects of marketing.  We can also help them to develop skills through the creation of dance & drama.

The skills learnt above will not only enable them to deliver the Arts Award ceremony but also all young people will be put towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold Arts Awards on completion.
